Editorial Manifesto

In a climate of noise and information manipulation, RoAdevar aims to offer verified journalism, responsible analysis and signed opinion so the public can better understand reality.

The platform is independent of political parties. We are not a political organisation and do not run partisan propaganda.

We reject extremism, hate, deliberate disinformation, plagiarism, defamation and servility to political or commercial interests that would distort public information.

Freedom of expression on the platform carries responsibility toward facts, the law and human dignity.

Readers in Romania and the diaspora who want clear content, sources and context — in Romanian and, where useful, English. We also address authors who accept editorial standards, not “publish anything without rules”.

We defend the right to speak on a facts-and-respect basis; we do not confuse liberty with the right to deceive or to hate.

We treat people in our stories with balance, without cheap prejudice or spectacle at the expense of suffering.

We respect Romanian language and culture and the diversity of the space, without party nationalism and without hatred of “the other”.

Publication decisions belong to the newsroom. Support (donations, non-editorial partnerships) does not buy articles. See Transparency.

We prefer skill, checking and restraint with untested “viral” claims. Speed does not excuse uncorrected factual error.

We avoid undeclared conflicts of interest, plagiarism and fabricated facts. Detail: Editorial Code.

We help readers tell solid sources from noise: context, fact-checking where needed, accessible language.

Priority for topics with real impact on readers. • Separate facts, interpretation and opinion. • Source transparently when possible. • Correct factual errors in public.

Not only what happened, but why it matters: politics, economy, society, foreign affairs — with multiple perspectives and without house partisan bias.

Space for authors and contributors who respect the Code: accounts, clear guidelines, comment moderation, local and diaspora topics when relevant.

Trust is earned by consistency: clear privacy and terms policies, response to complaints, independence from interests that would buy content.

Newsletter, feedback, specialist collaborations and, when relevant, media-literacy initiatives — informed readers, not just traffic.

Content and navigation in Romanian and English where it matters; the same editorial standards in both languages.

Reasonable openness about sources, funding (as documented) and decisions that affect the public — see Transparency.

Apply deontological standards and the Code to everything the newsroom or authors publish on the site.

Verification, correct labelling of genres (news / analysis / opinion) and rejection of deliberate lies.

Space for civil discussion; moderation against abuse, not against reasoned critique.

RoAdevar asks for balance, truth and responsibility — from us and from readers. Change starts with honest information and refusing wilful confusion.

Our promise: verified facts as best we can, signed opinion, corrections when we err. That is the Romania we aim to serve as independent media.
