On Tuesday, 20 October 2026, Betagro Public Company Limited, listed in Thailand as BTG, said it had taken a majority stake in Freshket through Betagro Ventures. Freshket is a digital supply platform for hotels, restaurants and catering. An announced deal. Financial terms were not given. It is not a market share already measured.

The Bangkok Post reported the fact on Wednesday, 21 October. Betagro’s statement: the company is entering FoodTech and extending its chain from production to digital distribution. The figures of 20,000 operators, more than 10,000 products and delivery accuracy above 98.5 percent are Freshket’s, not an independent audit.

Freshket was founded in 2017. It says it links farmers and producers to kitchens. Plans: imports (seafood, Japanese ingredients, cheese, butter), expansion beyond Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Khon Kaen, and the cold chain. Plans, not a network already widened.

Chayadhorn Taepaisitphongse, Betagro’s president of animal nutrition and new ventures: Freshket built the digital channel, Betagro brings production and logistics. Ponglada Paniangwet, Freshket’s CEO and co-founder: Betagro’s network and capital stand behind it. Quotes, not accounts.

Betagro’s head office is Betagro Tower, North Park, Vibhavadi Rangsit, Bangkok. Freshket remains a Horeca platform, not a retail shop chain. BTG’s SET listing is not a listing of Freshket; Freshket is not announced as an IPO.

Neither the price, nor the exact percentage, nor the fate of earlier investors is in the statement. A majority stake is announced control, not a merger closed in every register and not a shift in market share. Dump Bangkok Post. The rewrite rests on Betagro’s release.
