On Wednesday 21 October 2026 a man found debris on a field outside the village of Moșești, Robeasca commune, Buzău County, and told the mayor, then called 112. This is a find, not a confirmed attack and not a NATO shoot-down announced today.

Mayor Domnica Vlad told News.ro that “the boy who found the remains in the field” called her and then the emergency number. She understood that firefighters had come to the commune. She was heading back from Buzău. She did not give an official parts list.

Vlad said she does not yet know when the object would have fallen. “We always hear booms and aircraft noise, but I cannot tell you.” The commune sits in the south-east of the county, on the Brăila line. Habitual noise is not an impact time.

ISU, the Ministry of National Defence and the Romanian Intelligence Service went to the site and are checking the area. Gândul, citing unnamed sources, writes that the pieces may be wing remains from a possible military drone. Those sources are not a MApN statement. Origin is not publicly established.

The same unnamed sources, carried by Digi24 through reporter Valentin Stan, say the craft would not have come down last night or on 21 October, but “in recent days”, and that it would not have been detected by MApN radars. That is a lead, not a ministry conclusion. A headline that it “entered undetected and crashed” goes beyond what is confirmed.

We do not mix the Robeasca find with Wednesday morning’s RO-Alert for north-east Tulcea County. Digi24 notes that MApN radars detected targets north-east of Vylkove, in Ukrainian airspace, and that no entries into national airspace were reported in that case.

This is also not the 24 July shoot-down near Padina–Pogoanele, when a Romanian F-16 engaged a drone and prefect Leonard Dimian spoke then of fragments without markings. Wednesday’s Robeasca find is another place and another file.

Until a MApN or SRI notice on type, origin and timing, the closed fact remains: debris found in a Moșești field, a 112 call, checks under way, no confirmed attack.
