CFR Călători said on 19 October that from 25 October 2026 passenger rail switches to Eastern European Time (EET): 04:00 becomes 03:00. The communiqué says the change does not alter the timetable in force. This is not a new law. It is the EU last-Sunday-in-October rule, applied on the railway.
The night is 24 to 25 October. Trains leaving their origin after 04:00 will depart at the printed times, already on EET. Trains already running after 04:00 (summer time) stop at the scheduled intermediate stations and wait until the new-timetable departure. If little remains to the terminus, they continue. That is an hour hold, not a cancellation.
Radio România quotes the same text. Ziua Constanța reprints the same thread. Traffic information stays at 021 9521, station phones, the Trenul Meu app and cfrcalatori.ro. Webcams at a few large stations appear in reprints; we are not inventorying them.
Neighbours change the clock on the same day, 25 October 2026, CFR Călători also says. Between border stations, international trains run to the timetable in force. There is no special night graph written here. Alignment, not an exception.
On 14 October the same site announced changes to Dacia and Transilvania in Hungary, 27–29 October, because of MAV works. That is another communiqué. It is not part of the clock night.
The clock goes back one hour. The printed timetable stays. Anyone already on a train after 04:00 may wait in a station until the new hour catches up.
