Parliament rejected Siegfried Mureșan’s proposed cabinet on September 30. The result confirms that negotiations over the preceding days did not produce the majority required to install the government.
The failed confidence vote prolongs the political crisis. Without a confirmed executive, the governing timetable and previously announced measures remain on hold until a new parliamentary solution emerges.
President Nicușor Dan announced new consultations with the parties at Cotroceni Palace. The next stage should be reported through formal acts and official statements: the consultation timetable, any new nomination and the positions of parliamentary groups.
Rejection of the cabinet does not end political bargaining. Parties may realign support, and the president may nominate another prime minister or reopen talks on the same track.
For the public, the immediate stake is institutional clarity: who governs, on what majority and with what programme. Any vote tally or ministerial list should be checked against the official record of the sitting.
Until statements and a consultation timetable are published, this article is limited to the rejection itself and the announcement of new talks at Cotroceni.
