IPJ Vaslui and the Police of the Republic of Moldova opened, on 16 October in Chișinău, the TACTIC+ “Joint Front for Security” project. Interreg NEXT, European money. €274,985. 18 months. The General Inspectorate hosted the conference. Alexandru Lupan, the deputy head of the inspectorate, spoke about crises and a joint response. That is a launch. It is not the drill. Training with the “Fulger” Brigade sits in the 18-month calendar, not in yesterday’s press note.
Viorel Cernăuțeanu, head of the IGP, and Ionel Nane, head of IPJ Vaslui, signed a bilateral agreement. Moldpres: training, common procedures, an exchange of practice. Adrian Antohe was at the table too, with the implementation team. The paper is not a law. It is not a mission on the Nistru. It is a frame for cross-border training, on the Prut, for emergencies and crises that cross the border.
Specialised officers from Vaslui will work with “Fulger”, a police special-purpose brigade, not the army. Tactical simulators. Modernising kit. The IGP: aligning procedures, a shorter reaction time. Infovaslui, from the IPJ note: it does not say what will be bought, how the money is split, when the first session is. Until an invoice, what remains is €274,985 and 18 months.
Știri Est took up the same file on 19 October: drills, simulators, procedures on both banks. Est News, 18 October, the same agreement. The figures match. The aim, in all three: interoperability between Moldova’s special units and Vaslui’s operational ones. It is not a joint battalion. It is not a deployment.
For Vaslui, it is a training grant. For Chișinău, a step in operational cooperation, in the IGP’s words. Citizens on both banks appear in the notes as beneficiaries. Until the first joint intervention, the benefit is paper and a simulation room, if the room exists. If not, it is only the sum.
Until month 18, what remains is the signature and €274,985. After that, what remains is whether “Fulger” and Vaslui have procedures that fit, not just an Interreg title. Between them, the Prut at Stănilești, in the photograph, is not the range.
