Climate Week NYC 2026 runs from 20 to 27 September, in the same window as UN high-level week. It is organised by Climate Group, a non-profit that has worked with companies and governments for more than two decades.

The programme is not a single conference in one building. Hundreds of sessions, with different organisers and venues, cover energy, finance, cities, industry and adaptation. Some are public; others need an invitation or registration.

Events listed on the official site include, on 21 September, a private family-office and investor summit, talks on cross-border energy infrastructure, and sessions on subnational methane action. On 22 September, a debate links data-centre electricity demand to artificial intelligence.

Announcements during the week may be voluntary commitments, partnerships or plans rather than binding rules. The distinction between intent, approved investment and policy already in force remains essential.

Climate Group says the week connects the people who shape capital, policy and markets. Participants should check the time, access and changes for each session separately, not from the general programme.

Relevant outcomes can be judged once documents, deadlines and reporting mechanisms are published. Until then, New York is a discussion hub, not a global climate legislature.
