More than 300 buildings in Chișinău have been connected to district heating after requests received by Termoelectrica through 29 October, Radio Chișinău reports citing MOLDPRES. The company says 313 buildings in total are now receiving heat.

Of these, 133 are early-education institutions and 37 are residential blocks. The list also includes 21 schools and lyceums, 18 medical facilities, 20 private houses and 84 businesses.

Connection work for the cold season is still under way. For a residential block, the building administrator must send Termoelectrica a free-form request. The company says a majority of residents must ask the administrator to connect the building to the heat network.

Once the request is received, Termoelectrica specialists carry out the connection. This update does not set a single cut-off date for seasonal sign-ups.
