The Romanian Cycling Federation said on 21 October that work on the multi-purpose hall on the former Tineretului site in Craiova is advancing. It is preparing drawings for UCI pre-homologation. The arena is not open. Homologation has not been granted.

In the statement quoted by Gazeta Sporturilor, track works are due to start in spring 2027. The whole project, around 2029. The federation's aim: the national track championship, at home, in 2029. An aim, not a confirmed calendar. Track nationals have been held in Plovdiv, Mediafax writes, after the Dinamo velodrome in Bucharest could no longer host official events. The last Bucharest edition: 2016.

FRC speaks of 5,700 spectator seats, including VIP and disabled access, plus 710 media seats. GSP adds a complex of more than 8,000 seats and an investment of about 75 million euro, the city's third multi-purpose hall. Mediafax cites Dolj County Council, 7 October: 250.34 million lei without VAT, 299.12 million lei with VAT. The figures are not the same currency; we do not mix them.

The site is the former Tineretului stadium. It will include, if the project holds, the country's first indoor velodrome, plus athletics and modular surfaces. "Will" stays future. This is not an inauguration.

The pre-homologation drawings are being prepared. UCI has not homologated the track. There is no finished track.

Progress on the works and a 2029 target. Not an open arena.
