European Cybersecurity Month runs throughout October. ENISA and the European Commission back the campaign, with member states, public bodies and private organisations.

The Court of Justice of the EU hosts the kick-off on 25 September 2026, titled “The Human Compass: navigating the future through cyber awareness”. That title describes that meeting; it is not treated here as the slogan for the whole month unless ENISA has published it as the official ECSM theme.

The campaign recalls everyday habits that cut risk: updating software, multifactor authentication, checking unexpected messages and reporting incidents quickly. For organisations: tested backups, access control, training and a response plan. No single measure removes risk.

Attacks can use both technical flaws and the manipulation of people. This account does not publish steps that would help abuse. Older mottos such as “Think Before U Click” remain in ENISA archive material; the 2026 edition is read on cybersecuritymonth.eu.

National workshop calendars differ. A company webinar is not automatically the EU programme.
