Paris takes part in European Heritage Days on 19–20 September, giving the public access to numerous buildings, institutions and cultural spaces.

A defining feature of the programme is the opportunity to enter places normally closed to visitors or accessible only under special conditions.

The City of Paris’s 2026 selection includes spaces inside City Hall, routes revealing lesser-known sites and access to cultural and technical institutions. Further details on City Hall visits were still to be announced.

La Seine Musicale opens its doors on Saturday, 19 September from 10:00 to 18:00.

Its programme includes guided tours, concerts, open rehearsals, an immersive installation at SeineLab, activities for younger visitors, virtual-reality experiences and outdoor contemporary art on Île Seguin.

Heritage Days take place simultaneously across many European cities and the Paris programme consists of a large number of independent events.

Some activities require reservations even where general admission is free, so visitors should check the conditions for each site.
