Scuderia Ferrari brought in Jasper van Schaick, in October, from Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains. A chassis-systems specialist. A staff move. Not a rule change. Dump G4Media, after Crash.net.
Almost eight years at HPP, G4Media writes. Crash.net, from LinkedIn: he joined Ferrari this month, as a chassis vehicle system specialist. Mechanical engineer at HPP from 2018 to 2024, on power-unit systems, working with the chassis side. From September 2024, a concept engineer for the power unit, still beside the chassis. Two roles. One transfer. Do not mix them.
A Gazzetta Ferrari tweet: almost eight years, chassis vehicle system specialist. Another, Scuderia Fans: eleven years in Britain, plans to go back to the Netherlands, then changed. G4Media stays with eight. Stay there. It is not an FIA vote. It is not a driver’s contract.
G4Media ties the move to Hamilton’s titles in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Crash.net: his years at Mercedes coincide with those titles. A calendar overlap. Not a measured contribution. The reunion with Hamilton at Maranello is colour. It is not the announcement.
The next race is Austin, this weekend. That is the calendar. It is not the reason for the hire. Another text says he left Mercedes in May. The dump says October, at Ferrari. Two dates. Stay with October for the arrival.
Dump G4Media. The rewrite rests on G4Media and Crash.net.
