FinCon 2026 closes on Friday 18 September after three days in Palm Springs. The official site lists the dates as 16–18 September and places the meeting in this California city, where creators who make content about money, investing, business and financial education meet brands, fintechs and service providers.
The event describes an economy in which a YouTube channel, a newsletter or a podcast is no longer only a hobby but a small media business. Alongside editorial quality, participants have to manage distribution, revenue, commercial relationships, tax and audience trust. That mix explains the growing overlap between independent creators and the financial-services industry.
Organisers emphasise sessions on monetising beyond brand deals, on growing audiences on YouTube, email, social platforms and podcasts, and on launching products, courses or memberships. The repeated message is that a content business needs systems, not only visibility. For brands, interest is not limited to the largest followings: niche voices with stable communities are also in demand.
A Creator Pass includes, according to the site, 15-minute one-to-one meetings with industry representatives, arranged through the event app. FinCon Central is described as the exhibition floor, with more than 50 booths for tools, platforms and financial brands, where contacts can be spontaneous rather than scheduled. The two formats complement each other: one is timetabled, the other depends on who walks past a stand.
Responsibility remains the less spectacular part of the discussion. Financial content can shape decisions that affect people’s savings. Separating information, advertising and personalised advice, disclosing partnerships and checking claims are conditions of credibility, not protocol. A networking event does not replace those rules.
Palm Springs Convention Center is the venue announced for the programme. Anyone arriving on the last day should remember that 18 September closes the edition, it does not open it. Fees, pass types and any remaining 1:1 slots stay on the FinCon site; they change from year to year and should not be assumed from earlier editions.
In that sense FinCon also works as a gauge of how professional the creator economy has become. The closing day in Palm Springs shows how far this market has travelled — and how much it still depends on the trust audiences give to people who talk about money.
