Four foreign citizens have been sent to trial in Chisinau for smuggling more than 13.4 kilograms of drugs, some concealed in toys. TVR Moldova reported it. Ziarul de Garda carried the PCCOCS statement. This is not a verdict and not a group already convicted.

The case was documented in December 2025, with the National Investigations Inspectorate, prosecutors say. Two women from Ukraine, aged 34 and 41, are accused of receiving the substances in Chisinau, portioning them and placing them in hides around the city for clients. That is the charge, not a verdict.

Part of the consignment is said to have come from Warsaw, through Costesti-Stanca. TVR writes that the transport was organised by a 20-year-old woman and a 17-year-old, also foreign citizens. Ziarul de Garda wrote that those two were from Moldova. What is common: four people sent to trial, one defendant aged 17, no name published.

Searches of the two women's homes recovered more than 13.4 kilograms. The substances are to be destroyed after a Chișinău court ruling, not before. The investigation continues for other members of the group.

If found guilty they face between 7 and 15 years. Anyone writing that they have been sentenced is writing past a committal for trial.

PCCOCS says the women filmed the substances being taken out of a toy and sent the images to the organiser. That is a piece of evidence announced by the prosecution, not an admission in court.
