Galatasaray won 4-2 at Lille on Wednesday, at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, their first win of this Champions League campaign. They have three points after three matches. Lille remain without a point. It is a result. It is not a last-16 qualification.

Daily Sabah: Yunus Akgün opened in the second minute, after a poor clearance. Soriba Diaoune equalised in the seventh, rounding goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır, then scored again in the 39th. Aleksei Batrakov made it 2-2 in the 44th, from Roland Sallai’s cross. After the break, Daily Sabah gives Lucas Torreira the 52nd-minute goal, a header from Gabriel Sara’s corner. The BBC logs it as a Berke Özer own goal. Victor Osimhen finished in the 61st, with Barış Alper Yılmaz, against his former club. That is not the knockout round.

The BBC: VAR ruled out a penalty claimed by Osimhen in the first half; Özer got the ball. Osimhen’s first Champions League goal since February. The Turks’ next match: Stuttgart, 3 November, at home. Lille go to Bodø/Glimt. Those are fixtures. They have not been played.

The BBC puts attendance at 44,142. EFE, “about 50,000.” Two counts. The ground is in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, not Istanbul.

EFE, via Infobae: Davide Ancelotti’s third group-stage defeat; ten goals conceded in three games. That is press reading. The UCL table did not close on Wednesday. Galatasaray had come from a 4-1 against Barcelona. A comeback, not a title.
