Romania’s National Institute of Statistics has published final figures for 2025: the value of agricultural-branch production, in current prices, was 115,759.4 million lei. Revista Ferma and Agrimedia repeat the figure. The communiqué does not round it to 115.8 billion; it is 115,759.4 million.

Crop production held 58.7% of the value, still the largest slice, 3.7 percentage points above 2024. Percentage points, not a 3.7% rise in crop value. In comparable prices, the INS table gives a national index of 108.5 against 2024, an 8.5% volume rise. Those are two measures, not one.

On crops, against 2024, the North-East rose 33.9%, the South-East 28.7%, Bucharest-Ilfov 23.3%, South-Muntenia 15.9%, South-West Oltenia 4.6% and the West 1.2%. The Centre fell 3.7% and the North-West 0.6%.

On livestock, the largest rises are in the West (10.3%) and South-Muntenia (9.2%); the largest falls, in South-West Oltenia (8.9%), Bucharest-Ilfov (6.5%) and the Centre (2.5%). Crops dominate in most regions. The exceptions are the North-West and the Centre, where livestock has the larger share.

Leaving out Bucharest-Ilfov, the crop share ran from 47.3% in the Centre to 70.2% in South-Muntenia. Of the country’s crop output, the largest parts are South-Muntenia (25.1%), the South-East (18.3%) and the North-East (16.2%). On livestock, the North-East is first, at 18.7%.

INS says the branch is compiled to the Eurostat method and covers agricultural output, including wine from holdings without industrial wineries, plus agricultural services from specialised units. The next regional release is listed for October 2027.

News.ro notes that in 2024 the current-price value was 100.5 billion lei. We do not mix 2024 with the 108.5 index for 2025. These are final 2025 figures, not a 2026 forecast.
