Ipswich Town secured a dramatic Premier League victory by beating Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park in a match that finished on Saturday, 12 September 2026. The contest was decided in the 90th minute after five goals, a sending-off and a late swing in the result.

The visitors left London with all three points from a game that, once Palace had equalised, appeared to be heading for 2-2. The win is Ipswich’s second in the Premier League this season.

Five-goal Premier League contest

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 14th minute. Anan Khalaili scored his first goal for the club after Daichi Kamada released him. Ipswich levelled in the 23rd minute: Leif Davis crossed from the left and Emersonn headed in from the box. VAR checked the goal, including a possible offside, and allowed it to stand. At half-time it was 1-2 to the visitors after Davis headed in the 45th minute, assisted by Emersonn.

Between those two Ipswich goals the match also changed in numbers. In the 34th minute Axel Disasi was shown a red card for a high challenge on Jack Clarke. VAR confirmed the dismissal and Palace played the rest of the afternoon with ten men. In the second half the hosts recovered: in the 75th minute Jørgen Strand Larsen made it 2-2 with a right-footed finish, assisted by Kamada. There were no penalties. Chris Kavanagh refereed the match in front of 25,122 spectators.

The 90th-minute winner

Zian Flemming scored in the 90th minute to seal a dramatic 3-2 victory for Ipswich. The substitute finished from very close range with a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner. The chance followed a ball hung up towards Davis, whose looping header struck the post; from the scramble, Flemming forced the ball home. The goal ended Palace’s recovery just a quarter of an hour after Strand Larsen’s equaliser.

The victory gives Ipswich three valuable Premier League points at this stage of the season. In the provisional table, updated after Saturday afternoon’s completed fixtures, Ipswich sat 8th, with 4 matches played, 6 points and a goal difference of −3. Crystal Palace were 16th, also with 4 matches played, 3 points and a goal difference of −5. Those positions can still change: Tottenham versus Everton was still in progress, and Sunderland against Arsenal was due later in the evening.
