On Tuesday, 20 October 2026, Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said Russia had struck a Kyiv hospital again: the sixth-floor operating theatre at the Strazhesko Institute of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. One patient was injured and treated. No one was killed there. This is Tuesday’s incident, not a recap of the war.

Koretskyi said it was the second time: last year the strike hit the fourth floor; this time it hit the floor with the operating room. Interfax, quoting Mayor Vitali Klitschko: in Solomianskyi a drone struck the upper floor of a healthcare facility and partly destroyed the roof. District head Serhii Movenko said there were no deaths and no injuries at that site; the priority was moving patients.

The Kyiv Independent: Klitschko said in the afternoon that the Holosiivskyi medical facility was damaged by drone debris. The mayor first spoke of two injured; the Kyiv City Military Administration later raised the citywide injured tally to five. National Police, cited by DSNS, then spoke of 12 injured in the city. Those are successive steps, not three wars.

On Tuesday morning, also in Holosiivskyi, a drone struck commuter traffic: at least three killed and four injured, the Kyiv Independent and DSNS reported. That is a different strike from the operating theatre. The three dead are not added to the Strazhesko patient, where the prime minister said no one died.

In Desnianskyi a fire broke out near the Northern Bridge; the administration denied that the bridge itself had been hit. In Obolon, debris fell on a market. In Shevchenkivskyi, Klitschko spoke of an energy facility. Those are points from the same day of attacks, not a single hospital tally.

DSNS also said an administrative building in Holosiivskyi was damaged and that first responders rescued four people from upper floors after a fire. The Strazhesko Institute, the prime minister wrote, treats heart patients from across Ukraine. That is not a verdict and not a recap of the whole front.
