Djurgården beat Brommapojkarna 2–0 on Friday at Grimsta IP. Kristian Lien scored his 17th league goal, in the 75th minute. He leads the Allsvenskan scoring chart. “A real crap goal, but those have to go in too,” the Norwegian told SVT Sport. He took a bouncing ball in the box, killed it and poked it past the keeper. Then he flexed to the away end. “It has become my goal celebration.”

The 1–0 came in the ninth minute, from a free-kick routine: Bo Hegland lofted it, Adam Ståhl flicked it on, Christos Almyras, 21, a Greek summer signing, scored his first league goal, in his second start. “I am so glad to help the team. I had scored in the cup, this was the first in the league. We showed character, but the three points matter.”

The club, on dif.se, confirms the score, the scorers, a 13th clean sheet this season and Farouk Nehdi’s final whistle. Kick-off was late: referee Victor Wolf could not take the game; the fourth official, Nehdi, stepped in. Hegland has 15 assists, level with the Allsvenskan record, and missed a through-ball to Oskar Fallenius in the 61st: Leo Cavallius saved. Lien sits two goals clear of Robbie Ure, who left Sirius for Sevilla.

DIF have won seven of the last eight. They sit second, seven points behind Sirius, with a game more played. Sirius host Elfsborg on Sunday. Lien and Hegland were substituted just after 2–0. Alexander Andersson, 16, started in the league for the first time.

Lien says he is not watching the individual table so long as he helps the side win. NTB, carried by fvn.no, has the same 2–0 and the same 17th goal.

Grimsta is BP’s ground. Three points for DIF, in the race towards Europe. It is not the title. There are rounds left.
