The 2026 Lexus Melbourne Cup is scheduled for Tuesday, 3 November, at Flemington Racecourse. The 3,200-metre Group 1 contest is the centrepiece of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, not the only race of the day.

Victoria Racing Club announces gate times and a full race card. The exact time of the main race, the weights, barrier draws and jockeys are confirmed through the official process. The final field of horses should not be anticipated.

The carnival also includes other race days around early November. Tickets, dress-code areas and stand access differ. A general-admission ticket does not automatically include hospitality or reserved stages.

Organisers also announce entertainment on the course. Artistic appearances should be checked on the VRC page; they do not replace the racing rules and do not make a horse a confirmed runner.
