Slavia Prague has dropped Tomáš Chorý from the A squad until the end of autumn. It has docked one monthly salary, money that goes to the club foundation. In winter he may leave. This is an internal sanction, not a federation ban.
The club published the outcome of the procedure on 21 October. The reason: a red card in the 55th minute on Saturday, 17 October, at home to Hradec Králové. Referee Jan Všetečka noted the middle finger. The referees commission confirmed it. A fourth sending-off in two seasons. The maximum under the internal code, Slavia writes, also taking earlier offences into account.
He did not fly on Tuesday to Istanbul for the 2-2 with Fenerbahçe. Coach Jindřich Trpišovský had said on Monday that he would no longer play for Slavia. Seznam Zprávy recalls that in May, after the unfinished derby with Sparta, chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík had said the same, and owner Pavel Tykač brought him back. This is another internal file, another match.
Chorý respects sporting director Přemysl Kovář's decision and will not appeal. Through his agency he asks for an immediate end to the contract, by mutual agreement. The contract expires after the season. An extension is off. How much he earns a month is not public. Seznam speaks of estimates, not an official figure.
He may leave in winter. He has not signed for another club yet. Plzeň, from where he came in 2024, is unlikely, according to Seznam. That is the market, not a transfer.
Monday's sanction is the club's. It is not a league ban for the 17 October gesture.
