Downtown Winston-Salem hosts the 34th FIESTA! on Saturday, 19 September 2026, a one-day festival organised by the Hispanic League. Admission is free. The organisers present the event as a Triad tradition that opens the local Hispanic Heritage Month period — observed in the United States from 15 September to 15 October — with music, dance, food and community resources.

The programme published on the festival page includes more than one stage. The main stage is listed from 11:00 to 19:00, and the Encanto stage, inside the Milton Rhodes Center, from 11:00 to 17:00. Listed moments include a parade of flags and a Brazilian samba performance, plus rock in Spanish, salsa, merengue, cumbia and a dance contest. The Hispanic League describes the offer as a mix of regional bands, folkloric ballet, food stalls, crafts and a children’s area.

The festival is not only entertainment. Organisers also announce a health and community zone, with information and screenings, and a space for small businesses and artisans. The stated aim is that visitors encounter traditions from several Latin American countries rather than a single generic image. People who want to help with set-up, wayfinding or themed areas can register as volunteers on the league’s website.

The City of Winston-Salem calendar lists street closures from 18:00 on 18 September until 22:00 on 19 September on Holly Avenue, Spruce Street and Poplar Street between Fourth Street and Second Street.
