The Agreement between the Republic of Poland and the German Democratic Republic concerning the demarcation of the established and existing Polish–German state frontier was signed in Zgorzelec on 6 July 1950, in two copies, the Polish and German texts being equally authentic. It enters into force on the exchange of instruments of ratification, in Berlin. It is not the 1970 Warsaw Treaty between the Federal Republic of Germany and Poland, nor the 1990 German–Polish Border Treaty.

The preamble invokes the Potsdam Agreement, which fixed the Oder–Lusatian Neisse line, and the Warsaw Declaration of 6 June 1950. Article 1: the Parties jointly confirm that the established and existing frontier, running from the Baltic Sea along the line west of Świnoujście, then along the Oder to the confluence of the Lusatian Neisse and along that river to the Czechoslovak frontier, constitutes the state frontier between Poland and Germany. Article 2: the line also delimits, vertically, the airspace, the sea and the subsoil. A demarcation itinerary is not transcribed.

Article 3: a mixed German–Polish commission, seated in Warsaw, eight members (four appointed by each Party), shall mark the frontier on the ground. Article 4: the commission shall meet by 31 August 1950 at the latest. Article 5: after demarcation, the Parties shall conclude an act on the execution of the marking. Article 6: within one month of the entry into force of that act, agreements on border crossings, local frontier traffic and navigation on frontier waters — at framework level, without a crossing handbook.
